JEAN BÉZANAIRE

journeyer, then wool comber in France, then soldier in the "Compagnies Franche de la Marine" in New France, son of the predecessors, recorded birth in Savères in 1731; death recorded in Vaudreuil, Québec, on the 5th of October 1796.

and

MARIE-ANNE GRUZELIN

born around 1736; death recorded in Vaudreuil on September 16th 1816; daughter of Benoit Gruzelin and of Jeanne Chaillé and widow of Georges Bédel, recorded marriage in Ste-Anne du Bout-de-l'Île (Ste-Anne -de-Bellevue) on February 18th 1760.

They settled first of all in "L'Anse", then in La Côte de Français (French Range) or Petite Côte in what is presently known as the Municipality of Vaudreuil-Dorion.
